The Opportunity

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to construction, leading the design and delivery of site infrastructure including roads, drainage, and utilities. You'll work closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and public authorities, helping to shape projects that have a lasting impact on communities across the region and beyond. What You'll Work On

You'll contribute to a varied and exciting portfolio of projects, including:

  • Private residential developments (high-rise and low-rise) nationwide

  • Public sector housing projects for Local Authorities and the Land Development Agency (LDA)

  • Infrastructure and site development for major schemes

  • Refurbishment and conservation of historic structures for OPW and other public clients

  • New-build commercial offices and hotels

  • Commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects

  • Industrial and data centre developments

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:

  • Lead projects through feasibility, planning, detailed design, procurement, and construction

  • Design and coordinate site infrastructure including drainage (SuDS), roads, utilities, and water services

  • Deliver designs in accordance with Uisce Éireann, TII, DMURS, and relevant Irish standards

  • Prepare engineering reports, flood risk assessments, planning documentation, and technical submissions

  • Develop detailed design packages, specifications, and tender documentation

  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

  • Coordinate with contractors, Local Authorities, statutory bodies, and multidisciplinary design teams

  • Undertake BCAR inspections and support construction-stage delivery

  • Attend and lead project and design team meetings

  • Support and mentor junior engineers as part of a collaborative team environment

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Level 8 (or higher) Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience

  • At least 2 years' experience within an Irish engineering consultancy

  • Strong background in drainage, road, and water infrastructure design

  • Experience delivering projects from planning through to construction

  • Working knowledge of Irish design standards, codes, and approval processes

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Full driving licence

Desirable

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) or actively progressing toward chartership

  • Experience with AutoCAD, InfoDrainage (or equivalent), and Civil 3D

  • Experience managing project teams and mentoring junior engineers
